Artist. Photographer. Author. Educator.

Dawn M. Wayand began drawing at the age of 6 and painting at the age of 9. She has also been capturing moments in time around the world with her camera since 2001. While she has now branched into shooting headshots, portraits, and fashion in NYC over the last six years, her heart will always be committed to expressing herself through her paintings and capturing the beauty of the world through her journeys and expeditions.

Beyond her artistic endeavors, Dawn currently teaches several workshops in exhibiting work as well as field workshops in capturing the world around her to private students. She also teaches numerous workshops on studio lighting, studio and outdoor portraiture and headshots, as well as creative shoots for model portfolios and fashion.

Dawn concurrently writes feature educational articles, tutorials, and gear reviews geared toward up-and-coming photographers looking to hone their craft for online resources such as the Adorama Learning Center, B&H Photo Explora, and Digital Photography School websites.
