Our Shipping Practices

Wall Art

Before shipping, most wall artwork is shipped using the following shipping steps:

  1. Styrofoam blocks are affixed to the eyehooks on the back end of the painting to prevent the eyehooks from protruding through the packing box during the shipping process.
  2.  The canvas is then wrapped in glassine paper and secured with masking tape.
  3. A fitted cardboard box is constructed around the canvas.
  4. Next, the fitted artwork box is bubble-wrapped and secured with masking tape.
  5. Corner protectors are then added.
  6. The bubble-wrapped box is packaged into an outer box padded with crushed, brown packing paper.
  7. Finally, the outer packing box is sealed with packaging tape to seal the box closed on all sides.

3-Dimensional Wall Art

For 3-dimensional wall art, the following steps are taken to protect the artwork during shipment:

  1. Styrofoam blocks are affixed to the eyehooks on the back end of the painting to prevent the eyehooks from protruding through the packing box during the shipping process.
  2. For MOST 3-dimensional wall art where objects have been attached to the canvas, a cardboard sleeve will be attached to the canvas by a rubberband or a tie to prevent the 3-dimensional elements from being crushed during shipment.
  3. The canvas is then wrapped in glassine paper and secured with masking tape.
  4. A fitted cardboard box is constructed around the canvas.
  5. Next, the fitted artwork box is bubble-wrapped and secured with masking tape.
  6. Corner protectors are then added.
  7. The bubble-wrapped box is packaged into an outer box padded with crushed, brown packing paper.
  8. Finally, the outer packing box is sealed with packaging tape to seal the box closed on all sides.

Table/Desk Art

All table/desk art will be shipped and attached to the easel that accompanies it. The canvas portion of the artwork will be covered with glassine paper and secured with masking tape. The artwork with its easel will be placed into a shipping box that fits the artwork and easel’s size and will be secured with crushed brown packing paper for shipment. The packing box is sealed with packaging tape to seal the box closed on all sides.
