In the artist’s 6×8″ acrylic mini painting, Scratching the Surface I, she evokes a feeling that there’s something hidden beneath the surface of the canvas with the buildup of texture and adds a pop of red color to add contrast and draw attention to the message. This mixed media piece includes textures created from black-painted molding paste atop of special art paper on canvas.
