Based upon similar paintings in her Dancer Series, the artist created The Dancer I, this time, with more three-dimensional elements adding deep red paper flowers to the already heavily textured metallic gold skirt portion of the dress of the dancer as well as green gems to the waistline and as a necklace embellishment. This piece was created to celebrate the Black Lives Matter movement in the realm of the arts and will make a beautiful table or desk decoration for the lover of the performing arts.
